Day 325 - Sleeping Beauties

The big girl bed transition has not been as bad as I thought. I even got to have a little sleep with Ava in her bed this afternoon. We chose good beds, they are really comfortable.

Here is Ava rather comfortable in her bed. I do love sleeping photos!

Day 324 - The next big step

The girls have been taking many big steps in growing up this week. Today was just another big step... the big girl bed. We have been talking about doing it sooner rather than later and so this weekend seemed like the perfect time.

So we put the beds together this morning after swimming lessons and tucked them into their beds at lunchtime. Only one ended up sleeping, you'll never guess who.... but so far tonight, I think they are both big girls asleep in their beds. I wonder how long it will take before they end up in bed together.

Day 202 - Bon Voyage Mum.

After a very sleepless night, I had a rather early morning to drive my mum to the airport for her big trip to Canada. Originally I was very happy to drive her to the airport. It wasn't until Ava got sick and displayed some dreadful sleeping habits at very unreasonable hours at night. Here is to her feeling better soon.

Enjoy your trip mum. We will miss you!

Day 80 - Around the world in 80 Days

It has been 80 days since I have embarked on my Photo 365 journey. Today I felt like I could have slept for 80 days.

The girls bedtime is a ritual time for me. Shower, story, sleep. All by 7.00pm. It has always been a routine I try not to get out of. However with special visitors in town, lots of family things on we have got out of the habit of following the little bedtime ritual, and certainly it has become later and later this week.

It took Olivia a little while to fall asleep tonight, which comes from her being so overtired. I was very appreciative to walk in and find her flaked as I went to bed.

I hope we don't get a repeat performance tomorrow night.
