A New Year Resolution that I plan to keep in 2011 is a photo diary of my year. Since Olivia and Ava are growing up too quickly, I would like to capture as many memories as possible. Hence my project 365. 2011 is going to be another year full of surprises for us with the girls starting daycare and the prospect of me returning to work plus my family moving back home. I am sure there will be plenty more adventures to come this year.

Day 363 - Play time
The girls spent all afternoon in their room playing with their new My Little Pony collection together. Sometimes play time gets very confusing because I hear them call out 'Mummy' and I assume they are talking to me, so I answer them and they both giggle at me and say 'No Mummy, not you... Mummy Pony!' and then continue to happily play together. It's lovely to listen to their imaginary play.

Day 327 - Olivia
Quite often I forget to turn the monitor back off after their lunchtime nap and I then hear random ramblings from the girls, from some singing to laughing hysterically. Today I heard Olivia talking about lots of mud and dirt. It got me a little curious about where this mud was coming from. I went in only to find her playing with her Little People Farm Set, with a muddy pig.
It is very cute hearing them in their imaginary play. It is certainly a better sound than the girls fighting!

Day 271 - Little Mummies
The girls have begun a new game and I can only assume this is a learned behaviour from daycare. Olivia makes a pillow out of face washers or her blankets. She then proceeds to lay down and cover herself with her blanket and calls out to Ava to come pat her. They then swap places and Ava pats Olivia. It is very cute, especially when Ava decides to pat her babies as well.

Day 261 - The view from behind
We took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Spring weather with plenty of playing outside and having a picnic together. The girls enjoyed some fruit together after a morning of playing in the sand and having a great time. I took the opportunity to get a photo of the girls together, however they were not as obliging so I had to settle with the view from behind. I wonder if you could guess who is who?

Day 253 - A blossoming friendship
Today was one of the first of many upcoming CARMBA social events. A play in the park. Since joining CARMBA we have formed some beautiful and life long friendships.
The girls were excited to play with Ella, Brydie and Kaleigh at the park today and according to Teresa the feeling is mutual. Kaleigh and Brydie had even decided who would play with who today before they got to the park! They are my kind of girls. Kaleigh picked Ava today and Brydie picked Olivia. Which is really quite funny because when we tell stories of our girls the Ava stories are similar to the Kaleigh stories and the Brydie stories are Olivia all over!
It was all very cute, as we were playing, Kaleigh came up and asked Ava if she wanted to play with her. Bless. They happily cuddled and played together for a while. I wonder what it will be like when we are all down the coast together in a few weekends!

Day 249 - We heart Madison.
Today Madison came over to play with the girls. Both Ava and Olivia absolutely adore Madison and we often have 'discussions' about just who Madison belongs to! They play so nicely together, even though by the end you can't see the girls bedroom floor. They decided to get their blankies and with Madison's suggestion, became three princesses. It is very cute to hear their imaginary play together.

Day 228 - Partial Quarantine
Today we were put into quarantine at home after we had Olivia tested for whooping cough. I don't really think she has it, but it is a precautionary measure. So I thought with some warmer weather we would at least embrace the outdoors with some bubble fun to stop us all from going stir crazy all week.
Fingers crossed, all will be clear when we get the results back.

Day 28 - Evidence
I thought today was going to be a nice quiet day at home..... until my nephews Austin and Andrew came over for a play with the girls today. They all had a great time. Playing together, building blocks, cuddling, sitting on them, having lunch, throw in a nap and some musical instruments and what a well rounded full day they had.
I told the boys to make sure they cleaned up before they left and to take everything home. Well they left behind some evidence that they were here, their thongs. So I guess they'll hope that I will remember to return these to them... otherwise, they will be here until the next time they come for a visit. Lucky they didn't leave their ugly Crocs behind, I might have "accidentally" thrown them out!
Thank you boys for keeping the girls entertained for most of the day.... next time, maybe leave your really loud voices at home.

Day 4 - Swings
To Swing means to move back and forth suspended. Something so simple brings such joy and laughter.
We have a swing for the girls and have put it up at Nanny and Poppy's place. The girls make a run for the swing as soon as they get out into the backyard. Olivia is usually the first on the swing and stays on it until we have to go home. Today, we were there long enough for both of them to have a go.
Ava was in fits of giggles watching her cousins play in the backyard while she had her turn in the swing.
Her laughter is so infectious. I love it.
