A New Year Resolution that I plan to keep in 2011 is a photo diary of my year. Since Olivia and Ava are growing up too quickly, I would like to capture as many memories as possible. Hence my project 365. 2011 is going to be another year full of surprises for us with the girls starting daycare and the prospect of me returning to work plus my family moving back home. I am sure there will be plenty more adventures to come this year.

Day 171 - Blissful quiet time.
There is no better place to go to relax without the girls than at the hairdresser. I went to visit my wonderful hairdresser Vanessa today. Usually while I am there I flick through all the gossip magazines and have a chat to Vanessa. Instead I packed my Kindle to catch a quiet moment for reading. I haven't had a lot of time to do that lately, so it was nice to be pampered while I read.
Now my challenge is to get the girls used to this quiet relaxation while at Vanessa's.

Day 81 - Haircut day
I took the girls to Vanessa's place to get a haircut today. Olivia, the usual fidget gidget, sat through it like a little trouper, well mostly. Ava, usually the happiest girl on earth, as seen above, was not so happy. Instead she was rather tired and hated the entire thing. Well she liked the Easter Eggs that Vanessa gave her. I am sure she likes being able to see again too.
A little kip at home, certainly increased her happiness and brought back the contagious smile of hers.

Day 34 - Haircuts
It was the day for haircuts today.
Boy it was relaxing after doing yet another tragic drop off with Miss Ava hysterically crying again... nothing like a little Mother's guilt. Anyway, 1pm rolled around and I enjoyed my 30 minutes spent with my blessed hairdresser, Vanessa. Just a little tidy up and boy it always feels so much softer.
Along comes 4.30 and I take Madison to lovely Lindy at Hallistic Hair. She was such a good girl sat in the chair with her little wiggles cape on. A bit more training to keep her head super still and she'll be really enjoying her haircuts.
Thanks to the lovely hairdressers in my life. You are awesome.
