A New Year Resolution that I plan to keep in 2011 is a photo diary of my year. Since Olivia and Ava are growing up too quickly, I would like to capture as many memories as possible. Hence my project 365. 2011 is going to be another year full of surprises for us with the girls starting daycare and the prospect of me returning to work plus my family moving back home. I am sure there will be plenty more adventures to come this year.

Day 221 - Happy Birthday Austin!
Today is my nephew Austin's birthday. We celebrated his 9th birthday together with dinner and of course more cake! He is the last of our busy month, well definitely the last that I have to make cake for.
Hope you had a special day Austin. We are so happy that we got to share it with you.

Day 215 - Another birthday, another cake.
July and August seem to be a very busy month for birthdays. We average about 1 a week from the middle of July to the end of August. That is a lot of cake! Today it is Jenny's birthday. So we got together for family dinner and cake. A simple chocolate cake was the order which I was extremely grateful for as it was a work day, with no time to cook. The smarties were a suggestion from Madison, which I am sure Jenny loved the most. We have a week until the next birthday, a good week for fruit and vegetables only!

Day 200 - Happy Birthday Sam!
Today is my brother in law Sam's birthday. We got together and had delicious home made pizzas for dinner and cake. I made my first attempt at the Donna Hay layered chocolate cake tonight. It certainly tasted better than it looked! Maybe next time it will look just as good.

Day 2 - Birthday Cake
Today I captured Olivia blowing out the candles of their toy birthday cake. She and her sister got it for their 1st birthday. They both love playing with it and blowing the candles out, or sometimes just eating the candles.
I think she is preparing herself for her 2nd birthday in 5 months. I just hope that she realises, her toy candles are very different to real candles... otherwise there could be some burnt fingers.
